ABOUT
RMS Design is a resource for local owners and contractors to create unique design plans, specific to their needs, while considering elements of intention and strategy. We provide a skill set for design consultation, graphic representations, and CADD digital drawings, to provide service and mediation between client and contractor at a reasonable cost. We do this in hope our local new construction will consider factors of design that make a building unique, personal, and functional to each individual. We facilitate preliminary design elements with owners and provide a complete construction set in coordination with building contractors. We have completed 100+ Residential Designs in the Northern Neck & Historic Fredericksburg area.
I am Robin Mae Schick.
I proudly live in Colonial Beach, VA along with 3 generations of my family. I am actively involved in my community as the liaison to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Co-Coordinator of our local Save the Bay Day, Co-Founder of the Colonial Beach Community Garden Est. 2015, Mural artist for 72' community project on the boardwalk, Keynote Speaker for the regional Women's Business Organization, and Honorable Citizens Award recipient from Colonial Beach Rescue Squad and Elks Lodge. I am the current Mayor of the Town of Colonial Beach, served on the Colonial Beach Planning Commission 2010-2019, and volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce.
I graduated with honors in 2008 from University of Virginia with a degree in Architecture. I gained experience in commercial design with work on the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, VA and residential high end design in Boston, Massachusetts.
After school I joined the United States Peace Corps as a Municipal Development Volunteer in Jocotan, Guatemala. I am a Certified Community Project Manager with the Peace Corp. I was the lead for development of their new public library, a village sanitation project, and a leadership youth group for the local orphanage among other municipal development projects.
Upon return from Guatemala, I returned to the construction trade in 2011 as the Chief Estimator for a construction sub-contractor for large commercial retail. I evaluated project designs & specifications to procure contracts nationwide. I started RMS Design LLC in the meantime and went full-time in 2014. I am also a Virginia Class A/B Construction Contractors Licensee, Certified in Land Use Education, and Community & Environmental Planning.
I design residential homes, mixed use buildings, facade project designs for revitalization, consult for real estate agents, and have worked jointly with the commercial Architectural Firms of John Burger, Bill Tucker, & Sabina Weitzman in Fredericksburg, VA.

I am Erin M. South.
I, too, live in Colonial Beach with my husband Jeremy and dog Marion. I graduated with honors in 2015 from James Madison University with a degree in Architectural Design. I gained my first few years of experience working with James O. McGhee Architects P.C. in Fredericksburg, Va. I am blessed to be working for Robin here at RMS Design growing my knowledge and design style more every day. My official job title is CAD & Design Technician, but I help Robin with other aspects of the job as well. I work on residential, mixed-use, and municipal project designs.
I am Jennifer Jordan
I live in King George with my two children, I have traveled a great many places as a military wife and have finally decided to settle here in the historic Northern Neck area. My father was an engineer where I learned a great deal for what all this business entails. I have substantial management experience from previous employment. I am very happy to be working for Robin here at RMS Design and gaining great knowledge for the business. My official job here is Administrative Assistant and the wearer of many hats, I handle scheduling and assist with design projects.
